I was looking for a cheap CD player, hopefully with an MP3 input, to put in my old truck. My son had this laying around from a previous car purchase, and so I decided to throw it in. I am very disappointed, even for free.
The description provided here isn’t quite accurate, as there is no clock, no eq, no balance, and, since it’s only two channels, no fader.
The unit has no constant power, so it loses it’s status as soon as you turn off the vehicle. Every time you turn the vehicle on, you have to switch to the mode you want (radio, CD, MP3 input), and you have to set the volume again. The radio tuner is analog, so at least it stays on the same station, but that also means no possible memory presets. I haven’t hooked up the antenna yet, so I can’t comment on the radio quality.
If you have the choice, spend a little more, and buy a better deck. You will be happier far longer.
I bought this for my fiancees car. She just wanted a stereo with an aux plug. It is terrible, awful, and pathetic. I would spend the extra 20 bucks and get a cheap sony or jensen.
