It will sound pretty good. I had a Ford Ranger with the four factor speakers changed and an amplified bazooka. I left in the factory receiver because it was a lease. I wish I would have changed it but it was pretty good. If you don’t want to set off car alarms you will be satisfied. Just make sure you have it installed by someone with experience. It’s not brain surgery but I’ve seen some pretty bad so called pro jobs and that just ruins the whole thing.

visit your local stereo shop and compare prices.

The radio looks like a good deal if you get it at under 120. Kenwood Excellon x491 radio has usb, ipod, front rear/sub rca out and a factory 2 year warranty from a Kenwood Excellon Dealer. Dealer price 169 (make deal for 150)

Rear speakers are good but starting bid 97?, pioneer premier 642 speakers are almost same but msrp is 89 and a 2 year factory warranty from a Premier dealer.

the highs amp looks like a good deal but im just not down with sony. kenwood 8404 is a better highs amp and has a msrp of 249. only 1 year warranty cuz the excellon version is like 450 and only worth 350.

You’ll need an amp and amp wiring kit for the sub and unless you use speaker level outputs for the amp, a line output converter (LOC). This one includes an amp remote turn-on lead:

Also, the Alpine KTP-445 Head Unit Power Pack is designed specifically for use with Alpine head units. It would be difficult to adapt for use with a stock receiver or other brand of aftermarket unit. I’d recommend this 4-channel amp.

I have a Blaupunkt GTA 480 amplifier and a PIONEER BT audio. I can see the song playing from my Ipod but can’t hear a sound. All I can see is just a red LED being lit up for a while in the amplifier when the source is turned on. The red LED reads “Protection”.

what? i think your trying to ask us what sub will be the loudest. well i gotta go with the world record holder for the past 3 years. Pioneer Premier TS-W5102SPL. this will be louder then any sub they sell at best buy or anywhere else for that matter. it will be louder then a solo x and a w7. it is the loudest sub on the planet right now, and it has the world records to prove it. heres a link.

If you are looking to connect like a ipod or something of that nature amp,dvd player. You need to take out your deck out of the dash, then on the back you will see a left and right in (red&white) plug Your Rca’s In To Them It is That Easy ! !

For an amp You Need RCA To RCA Cable ! !

For an Ipod Or Mp3 Player You Need a RCA To 3.5mm ! !

Also If It Is for An I-pod Watch Out when Turning up the volume as it can be very loud and blow your speakers

I don’t use an mp3 player as a source unit, but I’ve done it before to troubleshoot a noise issue.
There’s really nothing to it.
You should be able to find an rca adapter for your ipod and connect it to the amp that way. That saves you the hassle of limiting your amp choice to something with a 3.5mm input. That Blau is the only one I’ve ever seen.

Here’s my 20year old blaupunkt “wiesbaden” with a,from me connected mp3 player. It works very well with a great sound,like from cd! If you read Blaupunkt’s site for the model in question (MP68), there does not seem to be a firmware update in either DOWNLOADS nor SUPPORT. A further scan of the Web seemed to reflect the same…
