A cap will do absolutely nothing to help increase bass response or db level. All a cap is supposedly good for is to keep your voltage regulated and it doesn’t even do that. Its more for your amp and electrical than your subs and thats what they tell you which is just a marketing gimmick. It is a waste of money.

Well, you know, you’re not spending a ton and it’s not TOTL stuff. A couple of thoughts- you have a big old sub there and a set of 6.5″ speakers with no tweeters. It’s gonna be a bit on the bass heavy side.

You might consider upgrading the front speakers. Other than that, I bet it will sound fine. Just don’t expect more than it can deliver. Big amps make big boom. Not larger subs.

Amps; 4 boss audio 1500w rms 2ch amps for subs crunch 600.2 for the component tweeters crunch 1600.4 for the other tweeters and a crunch 700.2 for the 6x9s and the 6.5s are being run off the radio.
Im 14 its my car but its in my moms name 2000 jeep grand cherokee i have a kansas licence.my system is a 14,900w system
it cost almost seven thousand of my own money
I already did all that to make sure everything would go together right and the dual voce coils of the suns when wired in parralel make it half the impedance or however you spell that

unless you feel like wasting money or buying more speakers than i would suggest getting two amps
-a mono class d amp that puts out about 1000wrms at 4 ohms (more efficient less expensive and allows you to add more subs)
or
-a 2 channel amp that puts out about 1000w rms briged (better sound quality if its an ab design but more expensive and puts out the most power with one sub)

for the tweets i would suggest a small class ab 2 channel amp they say they can handle 250w rms but underpowering them wont be a problem tweets get verry loud with little power i would reccomend at least 100w rms and make sure the amp you get has a high pass filter

First, does ur Boss System support MP3? What format did you burn the CD’s music in? If your system does not support MP3, and you burned the music as MP3s, then your system cannot play it. In this case, you must burn the CD’s in Audio format, not data (MP3s). You will definitely fit less songs on an Audio burnt CD in comparison to a Data CD burnt with MP3s.

usually any sub is fired straight up or forward or backward but idt sideways is a choice but regardless just move it aound untill you like the sound. whats important is the reflex of the bass hitting on the side or the back or whatever

never personally worked with boss gear, but i have heard that they weren’t the greatest, also realize that 1600 w is the MAX power which you will never ever see. the rms rating on that amp is 220w per channel

also seeing as this amp is not cea 2006 compliant, you will probably get about 180watts of clean power out of it per channel at 4 ohms and 14.4v and even then THD isn’t listed, so you have no way of knowing how distorted it will sound when pushing 180 watts

my advice steer clear

Boss BV9560B 7″ DVD SD Card USB In Dash Receiver

Since I could never find any videos on this unit before I actually purchased it, I thought that I would put a video up here so that people could see what it looks like. It also has Bluetooth capability where it allows you to play Bluetooth Audio from your phone to the speakers in the car. It also allows you to make and receive calls through the speakers as well. It has a built in microphone on the unit itself. For the money, its a pretty good unit. I only paid 0.00 for it on Ebay. I had to cut the dash just a little bit for it to fit all the way in perfectly as well as cutting the actual dash kit so the deck would fit inside it snugly. Here is a link to a photo that shows the settings that I use for the FLV to AVI program. These settings work just fine, and Im sure there are tons of other settings that will work. These settings here give me a great video quality and also a great sound quality. You can play around with it and try your own settings but remember, at some point the file size will just be large for no reason without a real increase in quality. i got a boss audio blx5000 and two pioneer ts-w3002spl subwoofers in a 12 inch dual sealed box in my 99 grand am gt. i melted the power wires 4 gauge to my amp i will up grade soon to 2 gauge 3/8 inch copper wire. my amp draws 175 to 250 amps and puts out 1200 rms to each subwoofer that is what it said in the blx5000 book. i do not have a cap but i will buy a 5 farad spl cap soon.my lights dime when i turn up the bass 20% gain and it sounds very muddy the bass dus not hit hard like it should i want heart thumping bass will a ported box be better? i have the factory 105 amp alternater .i will buy a high output 250 amp alternater soon.i know some stuff about car audio amp and subs but i do not know any thing about caps and alternaters .if i buy a 250 amp alternater a 5 farad cap and up grade to 2 gauge wire will this work like it is sapost to.or will i need more power.i do not want to spend $ 500 more dollers and my system still not work right.can you help me or give me info on my system?

you need to upgrade to AT LEAST 1/0 gauge wire. Also those subs are garbage. The reason they sound that way is because they cannot handle the amp. I would suggest getting 2 kicker L7′s and a nice ported box. This setup will almost blow your rear window out. You really need to get the 5 farad cap, upgraded alternator, and if you don’t want to add another battery, you should look into a Optima geltop, or Stinger perfomance car audio battery.

Brands – Sony radio, Boss voice speakers, boss 2500 w amp, boss capacitor and 1200 soundstorm for voices. Dynamat 20 square feet for the trunk.
