I want my passengers to be able to watch the DVD player while the car is driving, however Clarion has equipped the unit to have to be hooked up to the emergency brake in order to view the DVD’s. How can i bypass this idiotic safety feature?

clarion car audio repair installed battery now radio does’nt work

check the fuse, or see if there is some sort of restart code, bc you unhooked the battery. also see and make sure the faceplate is on securely, it sounds dumb but my Aunt was sure on certainty her new CD player was broken, I tugged at the head unit, pushed it in securely, and all was well. I’m setting up my Jeep for offroad use and I got the idea that I could install a nice marine-specific Clarion headunit and speaker combo since I plan to ride through a lot of water and mud. Is this a good idea? I’m not sure how marine audio compares to car audio performance-wise. Can anyone help?

i have a jeep also and have had the same thought. honestly there is no need, even if things get really wet, marine gear is a bit more sealed up to prevent leaks under extreme drenching, and it is designed to withstand direct sunlight better. performance wise they are comparable and that clarion is a nice deck, face plate is a bit busy though. anyway i digress, the main difference i see is price, the marine stuff costs a bit more for what you get. but honestly unless your going to splash watter directly onto the deck, i think your’ll be alright with any after market radio. the conections made at installation are a much more vulnerable to moisture than the deck itself is.

i own a 2001 Daewoo Nubira. the entire speaker system is stock.

contents:
front: 4″
tweeters: 1″
rear: 6 3/4″

i am looking at polk audio. the other options are blaupunkt, clarion, diesel audio, and fusion.

for the front i was told i could fit 5″ speakers. would this be possible?
and for the rear i was looking at 6 1/2″ instead of the 6 3/4″.

what type of speakers should i get? the db series or the momo series?
i was told the momos arent that better than the dbs without an amp.
is that true?

should i get full-range speakers in the back with the pivot-able tweeters and also get tweets in the front?
or should i get component speakers and just have the tweeters in front?
neither the 4″ nor the 5″ speakers have the optional of coming in component so there’d already be attached tweeters in the front.

what should i do? all advice will be appreciated.

p.s.
i am not looking at subs or amps. at this time.
just speakers.
deck is stock. will be upgraded hopefully within six months.

Color-coded, location specific as per the back of deck.
There is one blue wire/white wire and one brown/blk in addition to the the other power/ground wires. Also, two sets of RCAs grey and black, which is front/back. I’m also looking for the specific location diagram for a JVC because some idiot yanked the leads out of the clip that attaches to the deck. The clip has two rows of 8 with all of the speakers leads on one side half. This deck has one pair of RCA outputs.

Audio problem with Clarion NZ409 Car Stereo?

I just installed a Clarion NZ409 stereo in my car. I have installed probably 15-20 stereos before, although this one did have some extra wires since it had Navigation and stuff. Anyway, the audio is WAY too low. Even if I turn the volume up as loud as it goes, it is still too low. What would have caused this? Could I have mismatched some wires? Any help would be sooo appreciated. Thanks
To be honest, I am not sure about the Factory Amp. I am using the factory speakers, for now. What type of module are you talking about in the wiring harness? Its a 2006 Hyundai Sonata. I did install another radio about 2 weeks ago, one I got from Ebay, that was apparently from China, and works horribly. But, the audio was much better and the correct volume.

does the vehicle have a built in amp and are you using factory speaker setup? if you are using factory speaker setup did you need a module in your wiring harness? if in fact you needed this module and used it i would wire your speakers direct to the stereo or amp and still leave the module in place . Then you will need a speaker that is tied in to the factory wiring on the driver door for certain things but lets not go that far yet answer my questions and we can go from there

When I hit eject button, it creates small repeating sound but CD does not come out. I tried to insert another CD, thin plastic strip to help it eject but nothing worked. After this, the display would show “NO DISC” for some time . But after some time, I can play the same CD. I tried to remove to audio but was not successfull with that too. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

that happened to me bout 5months ago on my F-250.. it was abrand new truck and it ate all 6 cds that took in.. it would play those 6.. but would not eject kinda like yours.. but i solved mine with a hammer and crow bar.. broke one of the cd’s in the process but got the other 5 then took to Ford and complained about it so they replaced it with a higher quality one for free..

I noticed there is a difference in price between the two companies, some clarions 6×9 cost 219.00 and some JVC 6×9 cost 119.00

Clarion is better as reflected in the price. I prefer Alpine Type R if your running an amp, Type S if no amp. You should go to a car audio store and hear different speakers as everyone hears different. Buying online could save $ when you find what you like.

2009 Canadian Autoshow KIA Clarion Car Audio Demo

Not sure what the setup was exactly, but the subs were hidden Wasnt loud at all though. The subs seemed to really like the 50-70hz range, so it was annoying.
