my question is how will i get either amp to run @ 2ohms instead of 4ohms so that my sub is not underpowerd as ive been lead to believe this. is it safe to run my sub off this monoblock without underpowering it as my subs impedance is 4ohms can it be run at 2ohms? and how is this done? eventually i want to run all speakers off the amp as a 4 chanell and run my sub off the mono block.

my final question is: will my sub with an impedance of 4ohms be fine if the impedance is changed to 2ohms?

Only one thing NO SUCH THING AS UNDERPOWER. That’s like listening to your system at full volume and not being able to turn it down.

Hey there,

I was just wondering if someone could share with me some input on what kind of cooling I should get for my 1200 watt Class D Pioneer Amp. Go to URL below.

I love this amp, just the only bad thing is that I am running a 1500 watt 10″ MTX Thunder 9500 and the amp gets extremely hot to the touch.. and another noticeable thing is whenever I turn on the car, the bass is MUCH more intense, and gradually hits softer and softer.. but it still pounds, just not as hard. I have come to the conclusion that it is because the amp start to heat up. I have the amp mounted to the side of my ported box for my sub and it has plenty of space to breathe, but it still gets like super hot. I can’t find any liquid cooling solutions for this particular amp, so does anyone have any really good fans that will keep it running cool and hitting hard?

you could run a hidden wire from the cigarette lighter under the carpet to a little car fan mounted on the side near the amp

I have a Pioneer car audio system installed in my car (2004). The player can play mp3 CDs. Off late I am noticing that whenever I play mp3 CDs it dispalys ERROR 11 and stops functioning.
A case in point is : I burned a mp3 CD and put in car audio system. It played for some time and then it stopped displaying ERROR 11.
Is it because the CD lens has become dirty? If yes how can we clean it.
Appreciate your advise.

ok, first of all clean the lense, if it doesnt work, let have a prof check it, if it cant be repaired, buy a new one , not pioneer tho, buy alpine, or kenwood, hope it helps. thanks

File search and access are extra-quick. The headunit keeps song, artist, time and album information displays very clear and user-friendly, and control is intuitive through the 7-Way Rotary Commander. The system’s wired USB connection provides direct digital signal transfer from the iPod for clean, clear sound. In addition, Pioneer has developed the following new features to make using your iPod in the car extremely easy and convenient:

• Alphabetical Speed Search
  When searching for artist/album, you can initiate alphabet search by pressing “List” button.

• Link Search
  While listening to a specific artist you can hold “List” button down and it will pop up folders containing that specific artist.
• Passenger Control Mode
  Allows passenger to use the iPod directly to browse and select music, while connected to the headunit for playback.
• Random (Shuffle) Key
  Physical Random Button on faceplate (Shuffle) makes it easy to hear something fresh.

Supertuner IIID AM/FM Tuner
Pioneer’s legendary Supertuner IIID combines the best of digital and analog tuner technologies to reduce distortion to bring you exceptional FM and AM performance. If you live in an area where reception is weak, you’ll hear a big improvement in signal strength. And when you’re near tall buildings, Supertuner IIID reduces the effect of multi-path noise, which occurs when the signal is reflecting off of the buildings.

MOSFET 50W x4 Amplifier for the Power Hungry
Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, delivering power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. And that doesn’t just mean a boost in volume: it means that your music will be cleaner at higher volumes because you’re not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit. Clean, efficient power that will rock your vehicle.
