I recently bought a pair of Pyramid 15″ 800 watts subs(PW1577X)…and a pair of Pyle 6″/9″ 800 watts Speakers…All are of 4 ohm impedance…So which amplifier should I buy to run them??..I was thinking of a multi-Channel amplifier. But I dont know which one to buy…Can I simply buy a 3200 Watts Amplifier??or is there anything more I should Look into??

do not just buy a 3200 watt amp…..to get the most out of your system,you’ll want an amp for the subs and an amp for the 6 by 9′s.If you want bass :your gonna want a mono (one channel) amp for the subs or a 2 channel amp (bridged). now for the 6′s you’ll be fine with “any ol 2 channel amp” no more than 150 to 200 “TRUE” watts. As for the subs you would have to find out the TRUE wattage on the 15(pw1577x) I would guess no more than a TRUE 400 watts by 2 channel amp. bridged its 800 total watts. but a TRUE 3200 watt amp would melt all them speakers.

Hi there, my cousin is selling me a 2 Channel PYLE 600w amp, 2x VIBE Speakers with subwoofer OUTPUTS on each, and a SPLX 10″ subwoofer, if i was to power the sub woofer through the speakers itself and not directly through the amplifier would this overload it ? help please… thanks

yea it prolly would eventually overload it .. cuz the speakers are gonna draw power from the amp ur just going to make the speakers do more work.. but it also depends on how much output the subwoofer outlet can put out ..
best thing to do to b safe just plug the sub to the amp cuz a 10inch sub will b asking for alot more power then the speaker can push out ..

All the fuses are fine, I have the subwoofer option turned on on the stereo, not really sure what else to check. When I shut off the car it makes a pop or thud noise. Any help s appreciated. I’m pretty sure its from walmart its a 600w Pyle, I don’t know anything about car audio.

Try hooking them up to another amp and stuff and see if the subs might be blown…other then that im not sure.

Depends on what your looking for??? Those Pyle amps are not very clean, but I guess subs in the trunk, just for some push won’t make that much difference…seems like a good price though…if their not damaged…I would write an e-mail to the owner and ask about condition.

No. The crossover just sends the proper frequencies to the proper speakers. Although it can/will increase signal strength to your subs. Your wattage can only be increased by a higher wattage amp.

I want to buy this just for fun but I want to make sure that it will actually last in my car without damaging anything. I have a Clarion DPX 11551 1550rms amp which should be able to do 8 ohms at a decent wattage @RMS. if we r just talking the concert speaker alone then yes it would work assuming the rms powers are similar and the impedance(ohms) match up. both speakers run on DC current which is what the amp outputs. id try it for sure!

You’d be better off with a mono amp. Thay are more efficient (requires less power to run) and are designed for subs.

..and no. Pyle isn’t top of the line, it’s actually somewhere around the bottom.

2 10′ MTX 1 12′ Pyle in my Ford Taurus

Ghetto rigged car. The wires are very messy, i know. The 12 inch is a POS I have 4 Pioneer Speakers with tweeters on them though so the sound is good, the mic on the camera is real bad. no they are all low budget, over rated, mediocre at best, non CEA-compliant brands
with any of them you would be lucky to get half of the advertised RMS wattage and it would more than likely be distorted

if you stick with CEA-compliant brands because they have been tested and produce or exceed the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion and the subs can handle their rated RMS wattage also (distortion is the main cause of speaker damage over time)

its important to know the “real” RMS wattage so that you can properly match your amps and subs because if you send too much power to your sub, you risk damaging it. The cone of the speaker and the mechanical parts that make it move may break under the stress. Surprisingly, too little power can also damage your subwoofer — in fact, it’s actually more common than damage caused by overpowering.
When the volume is turned up and the amp doesn’t have enough power, the signal becomes distorted, or “clipped.” This distorted signal can cause parts of the speaker to overheat, warp and melt. Not good!
You don’t have to match speaker and amp wattages exactly. An amp with a higher output than the speaker’s rating won’t necessarily damage the speaker — just turn the amp down a bit if you hear distortion from the sub and don’t run the speaker at extremely loud volumes for lengthy periods. Likewise, you’ll be OK with a lower powered amp if you keep the volume down and don’t feed a distorted signal to the sub

if you must get one of those brands your best bet would be to go with the Visonik
