The system plays basically all formats of music and video and has a powerful 80 watts x 4 internal amp. The screen menus are a little basic and old school but overall performance is great. The sound quality is top notch when combined with aftermarket audio components. I have mine connected to subwoofers and upgraded speakers and the experience is almost cinema quality while watching movies. The tuner is also very good and stations come in loud and clear with the RDS feature you can see what's playing. Overall this is a very low priced unit with some nice features (power, USB port, touch screen, remote, etc.) and I recommend this for someone who wants a quality product for a good price. You don't get anything too fancy here like you would with a high-end DVD touch screen, but it gets the job done well.

The Boss BV9055 is a great all around entertainment system with its multi-media applications and large double din screen. I am no videophile but everything looks great on it. I also connect my Ipod touch via the aux port and listen to my podcast this way. It doesn't work via the usb connection. That's the only disappointing thing. Would have been real nice if I could have manipulated my ipod files through the radio.

The manual is simple, but then again so is the device and more so my usage. I just want to play video, listen a radio station and my podcast while driving. For these its a no brainer

Love this product. I am no videophile but everything looks great on it. It works well, but the system is built to only show video when the car is stopped, and does this by hooking up to the parking break wire. This seems to be the common setup for video systems, but I have a manual transmissions, so this doesn't work for me, and so I'm dealing with Boss support to find an alternative.

The touch screen is responsive but the interface is very no-frills, with a radio screen that reminds me of the old atari 2600 video games. While playing a CD you get a nice Boss background though.

My car has a standard 2-din slot, but the trim is oddly shaped, and the body of this radio is also slightly too large to fit the trim/install kit that goes with my car. It appears that this radio's face is designed to be it's own trim, so it I will need to work up something custom to make it look good in my car, and anyone without a regular rectangular trim in their car may need to do the same.

There's nothing in the manual or specs about GPS, but when you hold down the "Band" button, it switches to GPS mode. I'm not sure if this means there's a way to hook up a GPS unit to it, or if they just use the same software as other models that do support GPS. In this case, the screen just turns blue, like a TV without a signal.

This was the least expensive Double-din dvd/radio I could find with a front panel AUX input. If you're in the market for a dvd player than this isn't a bad purchase for $300. Not as fancy as the others but it does the job. Has rca outputs for everything minus subwoofer. That isn't too important unless you plan on competing in audio. I have this wired up in my envoy and really like it as do my kids. Screen is bright enough. The usb input is awesome, allowing you to play music files recorded to things like mp3 players and flash drives. Overall a great dvd player if you don't need the name brand.

Not too bad.
