I have the Verizon LG VX8600 and when i try to pair the phone the unit reads (invalid device) from reading the other reviews this unit sounds awsome but in my case i guess i have to purchase another phone like some reviews state not all phones are compatible with this device so before purchasing this item do your research.

I have to try to connect 2x everytime I get in the car before it works. Was not able to upload contact either. Maybe it’s a Sprint, Samsung Q issue?

I got this unit to hook up to my new AVH3100. I was able to pair it and register my iPhone fairly easily. The problem is either Pioneer’s or Apple’s implementation of Bluetooth. I am able to receive calls over the head unit no problem, it sounds great, and people say I sound just fine when talking to them. The problem comes when I try to dial out. Even though it is paired and registered, the menu for direct dial, log, and phone book only show up every once in a while. While this is a problem, I can still use my iPhone to dial, and it goes through the head unit just fine. I am hoping when Apple updates the iPhone to 3.0 that it will fix this bug.
All in all it works “good enough”.

I ordered this after owning my AVIC-D3 for two years and some months. I strongly regret not buying it sooner! Compared to the older Pioneer BT solutions, this works beautifully! I placed the mic on the edge of the headliner right next to the rearview mirror. This allows me to angle it towards me and provides the best sound pickup. Anyone I talk to doesn’t even know I’m in the car– It’s just that good. I use this in conjunction with my iPhone 3G. It doesn’t support the phonebook transfer, and I don’t always get a caller ID on the screen, but with my current setup, it’s easy just to glance at the phone instead. One feature I absolutely love is the ability to use BT audio directly to the stereo! There is no discernable difference between the wireless and wired audio.
The only issue I had was that I purchased this for $106 with 2-day Prime shipping. By the time I received the unit, the price had dropped $10. I asked Amazon if they would refund the difference to me, but it’s not within their policy.
Bottom line: I’d recommend this adapter to anyone!
