It’s awesome except w/out car or house antenna you don’t get reception for xm all the time.

I’m sure it’s good in general, but it’s not working out for my car. First, my car doesn’t have an Aux In, so I can’t play the XM radio over my car’s system without a cassette adapter or an FM transmitter, sold separately. Secondly, I hope not to have this car too long, so I don’t want to use the mount with the sticky pads (although it does come with a second pad). But the vents near the driver are cramped by a large console, I don’t have room to fit the radio in there, so I have to put it over on the passenger side where I can’t see the display. Luckily this was a Christmas gift, so I didn’t have to spend $70 on a lighter adapter and antenna. And a cassette adapter should be $10.

Nice product, but difficult to mount, especially in Ford trucks. There are too many cords to place in the vehicle.

This is a well designed kit and a snap to install. If you have an aux. jack there’s nothing to it. If not buy the XM FM Direct Adapter. The hardest part then is figuring out how to remove the trim around the radio. In newer cars the radio will probably have to be loosened to get access to the antenna. You will still have to use the XM antenna, but the wire is small and usually will go under the window weather stripping. Leave as little wire as possible exposed so it’s not snagged by car washes or made to visible to people who are looking for a XM radio via a 5 finger discount.

Kit was easy to setup, came complete and is working wonderfully. All this at a very good price.
