This is a quiet and very affordable power supply. I am using it as upgrade for the TCC TC-754 preamp that I also bought on Amazon. I don’t detect any fan noise, and thus I believe it uses a silent radiator design for cooling. It appears well built but I cannot comment on its reliability since I have owned it for only one month.
I find it hard to beleive that for $17 I got a power supply with this build quality. Other brands cost at least double. And this particular model is not a switching supply so it has no noisy fan. I purchased it to replace the wall wart supply for a Musical Fidelity V-DAC. Highly recommended.
I recieved exactly what I expected. The product works well and suits the need for which it was purchased. It did arrive slightly damaged but nothing a pliers and little paint couldn’t fix.
Well, I just received the power supply and I was a bit worried that it wouldnt include the power adapter, or that it would arrive dead (DOA). Luckily, it works, its quiet, and im using it to power my car stereo at home. Im probably going to get another one of these because they look pretty cool. Its quite small, and it gets the job done. They look better than a psu ill tell you that.
I’m using this as a replacement for my Musical Fidelity V-DAC wall wart.
Not much to say, other than it works and works well. It leaves a lot to be desired in the looks department, but then again so do wall warts.
Amazon lists this product as having a cooling fan, which it doesn’t have and doesn’t need.
