whatever you do, dont strip a wire and plug it into your head unit. i tries tha tona stock unit and i almost pissed my pants, it caughgt on fire and made the most outrageous sound ive ever heard hahaha

Neon I would NOT want a car battery sitting randomly in my house those things are hella toxic and do produce toxic gasses

an adapter would work but make sure it can produce the amps that may be required 5-10 amps would be the best to keep the radio from dimming or loosing power at high levels….me i just would use a small car battery hooked to a small charger tucked nicley in a cabinet and that would be my power supply.
(UPDATE) Use a sealed maintnance free battery.
