How would I go about hooking up an iPod Touch to my car stereo system?

Question:
First of all, my CD player in my car does NOT have an aux input. I heard there is a way to hook up an iPod to a car stereo system though the amp. I have subwoofers and an amplifier in my car. I would like to know exactly what I would need to buy in order to hook my iPod to my car stereo system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

theres a special cable that connects to the stereo once you get that you are good to go
I suggest getting an fm transmitter so that way there aint a bunch of wiring
you need a special cable or some cars you are able to have a cord with a headphone jack on each end (one to your itouch the other to your stereo) and it will play that way
You would need this special cable called a “male to male” cable.
I know it sounds funny, but just plug it into your car and turn the volume up on your iPod to hear your music.
