What is the best car radio adapter for an iPod?
Question:
I have an 8GB iPod touch. In about a week I’ll be on a trip that will have me driving for upwards of 6 hours each way. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the iTrip, and I’m wondering if there is an effective (both literally and cost-wise) car radio adapter out there for an iPod?

the iTrip uses FM Transmissions.. and in my opinion.. the sound quality reeks.. and on top of that.. if you happen to pass by a station broadcasting on that channel.. you’ll be listening to that station and your ipod.. what fun..
i was in the same situation as you.. driving 4 hours each way and vacationing for a week in a new place.. so i opted for a new car stereo with an ipod integration.. and i never looked back..
Alpine X100 in my old car and a Pioneer P4000DVD in my currently driving car.
I have a Monster iCarPlay Wireless Plus, and I love it. The only setback (as mentioned previously) is the availability of a clear radio signal. If you’re not in the middle of the city, you should be fine. Looks like you can get them as cheap as $30, which is cheaper than having to buy and install a stereo system, and it’s portable so you can use it in any car.
Hope that helps!
