Why does my car radio turn off 1 or 2 minutes after I start my car and put it in drive?
Question:
I had a system installed (speakers, amp, radio) over a year ago with no problems what so ever but now it just turns off on its own. The radio stays on when I put the car in park or when I turn off the engine.

Some radios have a delayed timer. Mine will stay one for about 3 minutes after I turn the car off. However, next time it happens try opening your driver door, it might have a sensor on it that will make it turn off the moment you open your door.
Sounds like a bad deck..
