this unit is their top of the line for sony 2009 line up..i did a good research before buying and i did the right choice!. It link's with phones and other bluetooth devices very fast...and with the ipod is even easy.
Overall this unit has many great features, great and powerful output (W/out amp)and its a good looking car stereo especially the display!....highly recommended!Rating: 5 / 5

Well i’m not gonna denied that am a sony fanboy but a had a very expencive ALPINE unit before this one and to be honest this one is a lot better by far…the thing is some sony products are underrated because hardcore audiophilies say so, but sony is been trying very hard in the last couple of years to improve their products(XPLOD).

this unit is their top of the line for sony 2009 line up..i did a good research before buying and i did the right choice!. Sound quality and adjustments are excellent, bluetooth hands free and voice activated phone is a pleasure and ipod functionality is terrific. Yes, it can be hard to read the display in some kinds of light, but after a few days, you learn the unit and this is no longer an issue. If you're looking for a head unit with these capabilities, read all of the reviews. Some of the top brands are having trouble with their bluetooth, some with ipod functionality, some of them have funky voice activation glitches -- this one just plain works. Plus, it gives great sound. Never thought I'd be this happy with a Sony product, but I have to give it up when they do it right.Rating: 5 / 5

Have had this in my car for a few weeks and I love it. Useless, how can you use a radio when you can't see the screen, the screen is faint and dim, even at night, and non-existant during the day. You would have to study the screen for 2 minutes trying to call out using bluetooth, less dangerous to just text freely. This isn't a cheap unit, I know it's not Clarion or Kenwood, but it was more expensive than it's rivals, and I thought it would be due to quality. This unit is cheap feeling and flimsy. I had to call Sony re one wire only, I got a blanket ban, 'Sony does not give advice on installation'. Then Sony shouldn't make poor products, with poor quality instructions. The unit lacks simple control, like an equaliser or a play button and how can you do anything when you can't see anything on the screen. My BMW has clear/easy on the eyes amber screens, this thing was supposed to change colour and match my car, it may say so on the site, but call them and they tell you NO! False advertising, Sony must have hit hard times. A waste of time and money, I am looking for a replacement, this piece of junk is going back.Rating: 1 / 5

I bought this, I still have it in the car, but I hate it.
